The grocery chain and United Food and Commercial Workerxs Union Local 7 also agreed to extend all of theire Coloradolabor agreements, set to expire until midnight July 18, the Safeway announcemen said. Safeway’s union workers rejected the company’s latest contractg offer earlierthis “Safeway remains committed to finding a peaceful solution to the very difficult issues facing the partiese in these labor negotiations,” Safeway spokespersonm Kris Staaf said in the statement.
