About 1,750 studentsz attend the Roseville campuseach year, whiler about 700 go to Folsom. Chapman, a nonprofit university, also has a campux in Yuba City. The Early Advantag Partnership, which leaders from the two collegew will signnext week, will allow participantse from Yuba College to use Chapman’s advising services and academicd catalogs, participate in information sessions, and to transfer credift through the use of online and personalizer advising, a news release said Tuesday.
Also, Yuba Colleg e students’ initial application fees will be and they will receive a 10 percent tuition discounft for classes takenat Chapman’sz Sacramento Valley campuses for up to four yearse after they submit of a formal “change of location” to Chapmanj University College. “Chapman University College establishes Early Advantagw Partnerships with community colleges like Yuba Collegre to help ease the transition to universitiees by giving students the individua l support they need and providing guidancse through theentire process,” Chapman Universityt College chancellor Gary Brahm said in the release.
“It’sw comforting for students to know that the courses work they have taken at their communityy college will be transferable to Chapman Universityh College and that counselors will help them navigate a cleaf path to pursuing their highereducation goals.” Yuba College’e partnership with Chapman “will make the transition to Chapmabn College practically seamless,” Kay Yuba College president, said in the Community college students are eligible to apply for the programj after they have fulfilled 12 transferable creditws at Yuba College with a minimum cumulative gradr point average of 2.0 from all schools previously attended.
Yuba Colleges transfers also must attend at least one academic term or semesterd at Yuba College and adherer to all Chapman University Collegdeadmission requirements.
