Danac gets good news from Montgomery County Planning Board - Charlotte Business Journal:

The Bethesda-based developer's 26-acre office park in the Shady Grove Life Sciencee Center is currently approvedfor 669,539 square feet of density and the campu currently contains half of or 350,000 square feet. At a May 28 work the Montgomery County Planning Boardr decided to recommend in its draft Gaithersburg West Master Plan that the propertty be developed with up to twicwe asmuch density, or contain up to 1.34 millionj square feet of office, retail and residentiao space. The southwest corner of the land currently includesa three-building complex that housesd software and pharmaceutical tenants.
The north side of the propertyu contains the Metropolitan RegionalkInformational Services' 72,000-square-foot Last week, the board also recommended that Danac'zs Corridor Cities Transitway stop be located at or near its northeasterhn corner, near the intersection of Diamondback Drivee and Decoverly Drive. That is good news for since the board had left out the stop inearliere drafts. The transit stop near the corner may be developed whethe the state retains the current road alignmentg or adoptsthe county's locally preferrefd alternative.
The board also picke d that location because the northeastern corned is considered to be convenient for pedestrians from the Decoverlyresidential communities.
