Chatham creates School of Sustainability and the Environment - San Francisco Business Times:

The school is expected to provides undergraduate, graduate and professional programs to prepare students to identifty and solve challenges related to the environmenrand sustainability. The University will begib a search fora dean, and will housr the new school's operations at its Eden Hall Farm Campuss in Richland, north of The administration anticipates that the programs offerer through the School will both attract new students and drivre the Eden Hall Farm Campus’ mastetr plan. The first program offered throug h the new school willbe Chatham'sx newest graduate program, the Master of Arts in Food Studies.
The degrer is designed to provide studentswith "aa deep understanding of the issues surroundingf food such as the environmental cost of food production and distribution, cultural issues, sustainabilitt of communities, and safety of the food according to a release from the school. Classess will begin in spring 2010 at the Eden Hall Farm campuws and the Shadyside campusin Pittsburgh'sz East End, and will include courses such as agriculturakl production systems, food processing, industrialization and waste, food, sustainabilityu and health, and food and culture.
