TSYS reported Tuesday Bank of America BAC) said it is planning changes in its merchant processing relationshipwith TSYS, but has not yet let TSYS know the timintg or extent of the deconversion. On June 29, Bank of Americwa said it and other partiesa are forming a new joint venture to provide merchantprocessing services. Columbus, Ga.-based TSYS (NYSE: TSS) provides accounting, authorization and other services to Bankof America, but that contracyt will end in April 2010. The services to BofA accounteds for 4 percent of total revenue in 2008and 4.6 percent of TSYS’ totakl revenue for the first quarter of 2009.
TSYS expects the merchantg processing business for BofA will amounft to 2 cents a share of its projecteed earnings per sharein 2009. The potential loss of Bank of Americwa as a merchant processing client is not expected to have a material adverse effecton TSYS’ financial position, results of operationsd or cash flows, TSYS
