Cessna to offer Aircell's Internet system as business-jet option - Baltimore Business Journal:

The system will be offeref on Cessna's Citation XLS+, Citation Sovereign and Citation Xbusinessd jets. The Aircell High Speee Internet system allows passenger s touse Wi-Fi enabled laptops, tablet PCs, smartphonez and PDAs to surf the Web, send and receivr e-mail with attachments, access their corporate Virtual Private Networks, all at full mobilew broadband speeds in flight, Broomfield-based Aircell said. Aircell'sx network uses a network of U.S. grounf stations and an exclusivebroadband air-to-ground spectrum, the companty says. It claims the system is up to 56 times fastef than atraditional dial-ulp connection.
The gear involved weighs 11 pounds, plus two belly-mountedx antennae that weigh 1.25 poundxs each. " The first Aircellk High Speed Internet system installations from the Cessnza factory will be available for delivery in the secons quarter of 2010, Aircell said. Aircell'es commercial-airline Internet service -- Gogo Inflighy Internet -- is flying today with American Virgin America, Delta Air Lines and AirTran Airwaye and is coming soon to Air Canada and Unitedr Airlines.
