UNCC honors Rodgers Builders CEO - Wichita Business Journal:

The Charlotte-based company has worked on severalkuniversity projects, including the Barnhardg Student Activity Center, Irwin Belk Tracko and Field Center, Lynchy Residence Hall and the Bioinformatics Researcj Center. Rodgers Builders also is the construction manager onthe university’se new, $50.4 million Centeer City Building project that is slated to open in the fall of 2011. A groundbreakinhg ceremony was held in April forthe 12-story, classroom building at the cornert of Ninth and Brevard streets in uptown Charlotte.
“What sets Pat apart from most is her she remains personally invested in the institutionse and organizations she touches long after her formal involvement has ended,” says Philip Dubois, UNC Charlotte chancellor. “Hedr commitment to the betterment of our communityh extends to herbusiness philosophy. In fact, Rodgerd Builders has been hailed time and again as the epitomeof civic-mindex business.” Rodgers is also chair of the Charlottw Symphony board and will assume the chairmanshio of the Charlotte Chamber board in 2011. The universityt established the Distinguished Service Awarddin 1987.
It honors individualws who have provided outstanding leadership and servicer to the Charlotte community and to the advancement of UNC Rodgers was honored Tuesday during a luncheon atthe school. UNC Charlottwe is the fourth-largest campus among the 17 institutions of the UNC It is the largest institution of higher education in theCharlottd region, offering doctoral, master’s and bachelor’d programs. Fall 2008 enrollment was includingnearly 5,000 graduate students.
